Ash Wednesday Services at 10AM and 7:30PM, Feb 22nd.


Women's Mission Circle meets twice per month from 10:00 - 12:00 on the first and third Mondays.  For more information, please contact Shirley Holleran.


Choir rehearsal on Thursday evenings.  We meet each week at 7:30 on Thursdays for about 2 hours and Sunday mornings at 10:00 to rehearse our anthems for the 10:30 services, during which we sing every Sunday.  New people are always welcomed and needed.

You do not have to be a great singer to join.  There is no audition, no prerequisites required, only a desire to sing and serve our Lord through music. Musicians for the Good News service are welcome as well.  Do you play guitar? Piano? Drums? Maybe a wind or string instrument?  Do you like to sing, but choir is not for you?  Try joining our Good News musicians for our monthly contemporary service.

Our music director is always excited to involve new musicians in Holy Counselor's music ministry.  If you want to participate, she will find a place for you.  Please join us!

Conference on Congregational Ministries will be held April 21st at Steinert High School, Hamilton Square NJ from 8:00am - 3:30pm. It is a day of seminars exploring many different aspects of congregational life.  Please see Pam Kucks, Sue Crispino or Pastor Chris if you are interested in attending. ReNew: The Green VBS

Did you miss out on it this year?  Here is what you could have been part of. Check back here next summer for details of our 2012 Vacation Bible School.

ReNew Vacation Bible School invites kids to learn about Jesus, help build our community, and grow, as they become stewards of God’s creation.

At ReNew: The Green VBS™ kids will:

    • Explore God’s Word through Jesus’ Parable of the Sower. 
    • Learn about God’s creation and what we can do to care for it. 
    • Meet members of our community who are stewards of the environment. 
    • Make new friends and have a great time!

On Sunday August 7th, children and their families are invited to join us at 4:30pm for an Opening Celebration and Potluck to kick off the week!
*A light supper will be provided Monday through Thursday.*

Children entering grades pre-K to 6 are invited to attend!
(Youth entering grades 7 to 12 are invited to join the fun helping with games, songs, and more!)

The cost is $10 per child, with a maximum of $25 per household. Financial assistance is available. For more information or to register, contact the Holy Counselor church office.

Rainforest Adventures was the theme of our very successful Vacation Bible School in July, 2010. Holding it from 5:30 - 8, Sunday - Thursday evenings beginning with dinner, instead of during the morning, was a new experiment for us and was well received. Our church building was transformed into a spectacular rainforest for our adventures by an amazing decorating team. Many thanks go all around to everyone who ensured the kids stayed safe and had a great time.
